To whom it may concern. We worked with Chris, Shane, Luke and the guys from KCS in the renovation of our 4-bed Queenslander in Red Hill. The job involved significant demolition, building in-underneath through two bedrooms, a hallway, internal stairs, new bathroom and laundry, as well as a new master bedroom, ensuite, walk-in-robe, open plan kitchen-living-dining, a renovated / extended main bathroom and a new deck upstairs. Prior to engaging KCS, we did about 12 months of planning and had eight building companies inspect and quote for the job. We could not have been happier with the service we received from KCS. The guys do very good quality work, are reasonable on price, meet all of their deadlines, are polite and clean up. The job came in on budget and ahead of schedule which friends tell us is unheard of in renovations.We found the general building industry to be notoriously unreliable; people do not show up to meet appointments, do not call to say they will be late and generally provide very poor customer service. KCS are the exception to this rule. They are always contactable, even after hours, and not once did they fail to meet an agreed deadline. KCS’ efficient systems, communication and positive attitude make a very difficult process manageable and enjoyable. The guys are very cooperative when negotiating design issues and provide creative and practical solutions to keep the build moving. KCS went to great lengths to cater for our personal likes / dislikes and did a number of odd jobs that they did not have to. The guys at KCS are very conscious of keeping the customer happy and nothing is ever too much trouble. In our opinion, KCS are the best building company in Brisbane.
